Event Description
The Office of Equality and Diversity invites students, faculty, and professional staff to gather together in solidarity for an hour of guided release and meditation at 12 p.m. Eastern this Wednesday, April 28.
In the aftermath of the Chauvin trial verdict and the persistent racial trauma for Black and brown people, we are providing this virtual space for all members of the Drexel community to pause, process and center through breathing and guided meditation. Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer Kimberly Gholston and others will share their personal strategies for wellness and self-care, especially during times of racial trauma and uncertainty. We will also share resources for how participants can continue to nurture their physical and emotional well-being.
The session will be led in partnership with colleagues from the Offices of Counseling and Health Services, Human Resources, the Black Faculty and Professional Staff Association, and the Center for Black Culture. Additional upcoming events can be found on OED’s website. |
