End Date: 5/21/2021End Time: 5:30 PM

Event Description
Geographical sorting of populations by race, ethnicity, income, education, political attitudes, and other factors are significant contributors to disparities in individual and social exposure to environmental toxins and risks.

Hosted by the National Academies of Sciences Engineering and Medicine's Mapping Science Committee, this workshop will explore how geospatial data can be used to analyze and mitigate social inequalities and the social and community ties to environmental health and justice.

Join the discussion on how to leverage geospatial technologies to inform environmental health decisions and steps for moving forward to address the societal challenge of environmental justice.

Dean Diez Roux, MD, PhD, will speak on the Session 2 Panel: Social and Community Determinants of Environmental Health and Justice
