LGBTQ+ Ally Workshop for Faculty & Professional Staff

Event Description

Please join us for the upcoming workshop “Being an LGBTQ+ Ally,” facilitated by Drexel’s Office of Equality and Diversity and the Student Center for Inclusion and Culture. The program will take place on Tuesday, May 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., in Sky View.

Through this workshop, which is specifically designed for faculty and professional staff, participants will learn about: - the LGBTQ+ community and the experience of LGBTQ+ students, faculty, professional staff, and other members of the Drexel community; - best practices for creating a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment; and - strategies for how to be an LGBTQ+ ally. Facilitators will lead you through vocabulary, common scenarios, University policies, and culture-building activities. Please RSVP to jkrohn@drexel.edu.
