Members of the Drexel community are invited to attend any or all of the events planned on the drill floor of the Armory, located on Drexel’s campus.
The day kicks off at 10 a.m. with the USO’s “Christmas in July” program; roll up your sleeves and help the USO assemble care packages on
the drill floor of the Armory. A picnic lunch is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. along with a card-writing campaign for soldiers. Promptly at noon,
the University community will gather to remember Lt. Christopher Mosko (pictured), a 2007 graduate of Drexel University who recently lost his life in Afghanistan. The ceremonial tribute is entitled, “A Patriotic Primer on Memorial Day” and includes music, reflections, original works of poetry, a
tribute to Lt. Christopher Mosko, the presentation of the first Chuck Sabin Army ROTC Award, and other contributions that are sure to help make
Memorial Day more meaningful.
