The Kline School of Law will hold its Ninth Commencement exercises.
Graduates will receive their JD, LLM and MLS degrees.
Philadelphia City Solicitor Sozi Pedro Tulante will give the commencement address. Appointed by Mayor Jim Kenney, Tulante spent five years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Philadelphia, where he represented the government in criminal investigations and prosecutions. Previously, he was a partner at Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin & Schiller, where he concentrated in commercial litigation and pro bono matters, including representing a detainee in Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. He is a graduate of Philadelphia's public schools who came to the U.S. from Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo) in 1983 as a political refugee with his parents. He received his JD, cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
