The Ubuntu Center Global Series - Reproductive Justice: A Transnational Conversation

Event Description

The Ubuntu Global Series is designed to bridge relationships between transnational anti-racism efforts in the broader African Diaspora. This year, the Ubuntu Center on Racism, Global Movements & Population Health Equity at the Dornsife School of Public Health will hold two virtual conversations on Climate Change and Reproductive Justice with partners and colleagues in Brazil and the U.S.

Reflecting their commitment to collective, transnational work, The Ubuntu Center Global Series will be co-hosted by the Ubuntu Center in partnership with Iyaleta – Research, Sciences, and Humanities (Brazil) and Article XII (U.S.).  

During this second transnational conversation they will discuss Reproductive Justice and be joined by:

  • Emanuelle Goes, PhD - Researcher at Cidacs (Fiocruz-Bahia) and at Iyaleta – Research, Sciences, and Humanities
  • Rutte Cardoso Andrade, PhD - Professor at the University of International Integration of the Afro-Brazilian Lusophony
  • Karen Scott, MD, MPH, FACOG - Chief Black Feminist Physician Scientist, Founding CEO & Owner, Birthing Cultural Rigor, LLC

Interpretation will be available in Portuguese and English.
