Event Description
Josh Goldhaber’s major in Music Composition for Theatre examines the interplay between music, theatre, playwriting, and other art forms to craft the ultimate storytelling mechanism for live performance. As such, their capstone project combines work in the aforementioned fields in the conception, composition, development, and presentation of an original, music-forward theatrical work. The composition of an original score serves as the driving force along with research in historical, contemporary, and bleeding edge works to inform the creative process from form selection and storyboarding through motivic development and preparation for performance. |
