Dr. Julie A. Barta is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University’s Sidney Kimmel Medical College and a Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine physician at the Jane and Leonard Korman Respiratory Institute at Jefferson Health.

She is active at the local, regional, and national level in efforts to investigate diagnostic strategies for early detection of lung cancer and to create an equitable landscape in both lung cancer screening and lung cancer-related outcomes. Dr. Barta will discuss her work implementing lung cancer screening among underserved populations at high risk of lung cancer.
