Event Description
Fulbrights and Fellows: How to be recognized for your achievements and gain recognition for your students too

Are you a seasoned faculty member whose research discoveries are deserving of wider recognition? Or a newer faculty member just getting a foothold in your field? Are you hoping to become a Fellow in your professional society one day, but aren’t sure how to get there? Do you have exceptional students who qualify for national awards, but don’t know how to get them nominated?

Join us for a virtual panel of current faculty who have received prestigious honors and awards and Drexel staff who assist with faculty and student nominations. You will gain insights into how to find, get nominated, and apply for opportunities and where to turn to nominate others for recognition.

Panelists include:
  • Leah Gates, Associate Director, Undergraduate Research and Enrichment Programs, Pennoni Honors College
  • Dr. Yury Gogotsi, Distinguished University and Charles T. and Ruth M. Bach Professor and Director, A.J. Drexel Nanomaterials Institute
  • Dr. Ioannis Savidis, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
