Event Description
Managing the stress of just being a student can be tough enough. However, international students often have to navigate the additional challenges of differences in culture, studying in their second (or third) language, and homesickness for their family and support system, not to mention dealing with the complicated process of obtaining and maintaining a student visa. Visa related stress and uncertainty are our emotional responses to bureaucratic procedures, strict deadlines, and a need for extensive documentation to prove eligibility to study in the U.S. While visa related stress is a difficult part of international study, connection to support and proper resources can lighten the burden of these challenges so international students can feel at welcome in their educational "home away from home."
