In celebration of Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month, all are invited to Beyond Yellowface, a roundtable discussion with Asian American creatives whose work has been featured on stage, screen, and in the media. Moderated by Francis Tanglao Aguas, Westphal College's Associate Dean of DEI, join us for a far-reaching conversation that delves into the intersections of the work of Rankin Scholar and choreographer Phil Chan, Broadway costume designer Harriet Jung, and former Philadelphia Inquirer journalist and filmmaker Jennifer Lin and how they have navigated their careers and the challenges they have faced as Asian American creative professionals. The evening will feature a sneak peek of documentary,
Beyond Yellowface by Lin as well as short film, Ballet des Porcelaines, featuring choreography by Chan and costumes by Jung.

The Rankin Scholar-in-Residence Series, named in honor of former Dean Marjorie Rankin and established through the continuing donations of her friends and colleagues, seeks to bring noted individuals to campus who excel in the multidisciplinary education championed by the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design. The goal of the Series is to inspire students, stimulate research, invigorate professional networks, and aid in the continuing development of the Drexel community.
