The Drexel Relay for Life team is raising money for the fight against cancer. Relay for Life is the signature fundraising event for the American Cancer Society and all proceeds from the event are contributed to our life saving mission. The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer; through research, education, advocacy, and service. The Relay for Life event is a 6-hour activity where each team has a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. Each team sets up a themed table at the event and continues their fundraising efforts by collecting donations for food, goods, games, and activities. This money will count towards their overall team fundraising goal.
