By Moisés Kaufman and Members of the Tectonic Theater ProjectDirected by Bill Fennelly
It’s been over twenty-years since an openly gay college student named Matthew Shephard was kidnapped, beaten, and left to die, tied to a fence outside Laramie, Wyoming. A troupe of actors traveled to Laramie to interview residents, resulting in a deeply moving theatrical experience. This relevant and still timely piece explores the depths to which humanity can sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable.
