Event Description
"Statistical and Machine Learning Contributions to the Analysis of Single-Cell RNA Sequencing Data" by Saishi Cui, MS, Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
Dissertation committee: Dr. Issa Zakeri. Dr. Sina Nassiri, Dr. Longjian Liu. Dr. Lucy Robinson. Dr. Loni Tabb.
This dissertation proposes novel statistical or machine learning solutions to address existing bottlenecks in three key aspects of analyzing scRNA-seq data. It introduces innovative statistical or machine learning approaches to tackle current limitations in three fundamental aspects of analyzing scRNA-seq data.
Saishi Cui is a Ph.D. candidate in Biostatistics working with Dr. Issa Zakeri. His research interests broadly include machine learning and statistical methods on scRNA-seq data. The aim is to provide genomics researchers with more reliable and robust computational methods for medical and public health research.
