Drexel University’s Kline School of Law invites you to join scholars Jeannine Bell (Indiana University) and Robert Kane (Drexel University) to learn how past attempts to reform policing can inform discussions about police reform today.

The presentation on Tuesday, July 28, from 1 to 2 p.m. will be followed by a Q&A with panelists as well as optional small group discussion sessions from 2 to 3 p.m. Attendees who cannot watch the panel live may RSVP for a link to the recording and to join small group discussions on Wednesday, July 29, from 5 to 6 p.m.

About the Speakers

Professor Jeannine Bell has written extensively about law reforms, including how police interpret and apply laws regulating hate crimes, and how white resistance has perpetuated residential segregation. She is the Richard S. Melvin Professor of Law at Indiana University.

Robert Kane has studied policing and crime for over two decades. His book on the NYPD is the largest ever study of police misconduct. He is the Department Head of Criminology & Justice Studies at Drexel University.
