Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the steps the Philadelphia Department of Health has taken in recent years to support and encourage breastfeeding
  • Describe the data/evidence regarding the health benefits of breastfeeding for both mothers and infants
  • Enumerate the resources available at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and in the community for breastfeeding education and support
