Learning Objectives
- Define the scope of the current opioid epidemic in light of prior SUD epidemics and its impact on pregnant, parenting women and their children
- Identify “red flags” that would predict the development of an SUD in children and adults
- Define gender appropriate acute and chronic SUD treatment approaches for women, especially pregnant women with OUD
