Event Description

After a summer break, we're kicking off the fall with the next Green Infrastructure, Climate and Cities seminar, Code Red for Humanity: What the Latest IPCC Report Means for Our Region. Due to national and religious holidays, this seminar is not at our usual time - we'll be holding the seminar virtually on Tuesday, September 14th at 4pm.

On August 6, 2021, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released its Sixth Assessment report on climate change, called a "Code Red for Humanity" by the UN Secretary General. The report details that regardless of what we do today, our planet will continue to warm through 2050 causing further climate disasters, and our window to curb the worst impacts of future climate change is quickly closing. What does this latest report tell us about how this region will be experiencing future conditions of climate change? Speakers from CCRUN will discuss.

What would you like to know about the report? Submit questions for discussion when you register.
