Junior Scientist Workshop Series: What’s Down the Shore?
Start Date: 9/25/2021Start Time: 10:00 AM
End Date: 9/25/2021End Time: 12:00 PM
Event Description

Why do we all like going to the beach? Shorelines are some of the most popular places for people to live and relax, but there’s so much more on the shore!

Ages 8-11

Many species of birds, fish, mammals and TONS of invertebrates can be found there. Find out just how many shelled creatures there are with a peek at the Academy’s vast Malacology Collection, and learn about the amazing adaptations they have.

Discover the most successful strategies for life on the beach with hands-on activities, and find out how survival is a shore thing!

$35 child/$25 member child per workshop; additional children per family can be registered for $10 each

$5 off with Early-bird Discount (Valid through September 10)

Registering more than one child? Book by calling 215 299 1060 to receive an exclusive discount on your registration.

Please bring a small snack and a filled reusable water bottle. Feel free to bring some shells or other natural history specimens from your own collection to show off, and we will provide everything else. At this time, masks are required in the museum for staff and guests.

Please contact Mary Bailey, youth and family programs developer, if you have any questions: mvb45@drexel.edu.
