The online Master of Science (MS) in Health Informatics provides students from diverse academic and professional backgrounds with the knowledge of how to use information technology efficiently and responsibly to improve health outcomes. The mission of the MSHI program is to advance national healthcare goals by preparing health informatics professionals to exercise leadership in an increasingly patient-centered and data-driven environment. The program pursues this mission by offering an interdisciplinary, broad-based curriculum that encourages engagement with industry and fosters both research-based and experiential learning.

The online Certificate in Healthcare Informatics program provides an intensive introduction to the evolving field of medical/health informatics and provides students the knowledge and skills necessary to the application of information technology (IT) in the provision of healthcare. This three-course comprehensive certificate program is designed for information professionals, clinical personnel and health care support personnel who want to increase their knowledge of health information technology and management of the complex social and organizational issues surrounding this major change in health care.
