The health of the planet and your well-being are connected. By taking small steps to lessen your individual impact on the environment, together we can make a big difference! We challenge you to live green for the health of the planet during this four-week wellness challenge.

Each week of the challenge, you will be asked to track your sustainable activities.

Choosing the take small steps can contribute to the health of our planet, our workplace, and your individual health.

This challenge will run from April 13th to May 10th. You can register beginning April 1st (that’s not a joke!). The very last day to sign-up is April 20th.

If you participate weekly, you will receive 25 wellness incentive points ($25!). You must register for the 2020 program AND complete your 2020 Personal Health Profile before you will be eligible to receive any payouts.

Advances in Research and Clinical Practice in Tick-Borne Disease

Conference Description and Goals

Discuss innovations and current research on history, vectors and pathophysiology of tick-borne diseases
Discuss prevalence and recognition of tick-borne diseases
Present and analyze impact of tick-borne disease on patients
Present, discuss and analyze diagnosis, including differential, of tickborne disease patients, including case study presentations
Present and discuss pharmacological treatment and management approaches of tick-borne disease patients, including cases study presentations
Present non-pharmacologic intervention to manage symptoms and prevent functional decline in patients with complex tick-borne disease

Speakers

The event includes 12 presenters from various disciplines within the field of tick-borne diseases, including moderator Steven J. Bock, MD; Robert Mozayeni, MD, president, International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society; and Drexel graduate student Kayla Socarras, MS, Microbiology & Immunology program and member of Drexel's Center for Advanced Microbial Processing, who will speak about Drexel's work on global tick microbiome analysis.

Two keynote talks will be given.

MDs, DOs, NDs, DMDs, DVMs, PhDs, PsyDs, RNs, NPs, PAs, LCSWs, DCs and other health care providers.

Continuing Education Information

AMA Credit Designation Statement
The Drexel University College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

AOA Credit Designation Statement
This program is eligible for 8.5 credits in Category 2A of the American Osteopathic Association.

Nursing Contact Hours – 6.5
This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association Approver Unit, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
