Through the month of April, take a moment to visit a showcase raising awareness to sexual assault. The exhibition, featuring a variety of art forms such as digital art, poetry, paintings and more, highlights stories from the sisters of Alpha Sigma Alpha about being a survivor, a sister and a witness of sexual assault. The sisters of Alpha Sigma Alpha stand with their sisters and with all Survivors.

Tell Us How You Really Feel! Art as a Tool to Communicate Complex Emotions (4/3/2023)

Exhibition from December 1, 2022 through June 1, 2023. Tell Us How You Really Feel! is an exhibition of student, faculty and alumni artwork examining the aforementioned concepts. Contributing artists are asked to consider the following prompt: "Create a visual representation of a time in your life when you felt emotion that was too hard to put into words." The artist's responses will be presented in the Drexel Founding Collection's Rincliffe Gallery in an effort to show the practical application of empathy through art. During the exhibition artists' work will be sold, if they so choose, with half the proceeds donated to The Jed Foundation and The Trevor Project to support ongoing mental health resources for young peoples. Dr. Brandon George, PhD, MS, Assistant Professor in the College of Population Health at Thomas Jefferson University, is currently the lead of the Health Analytics concentration within the MPH degree program.

Talk Titles:

- Making the Switch: Experiences and Results from Converting a Biostatistics Course to Flipped and Online Formats for Public Health Students

- Exploring Disparities in Mortality Outcomes in Inflammatory Breast Cancer Patients Using Survival Analysis

Currently the lead of the Health Analytics concentration within the MPH degree program, Dr. George teaches courses in introductory health statistics, advanced health statistics, data wrangling and visualization, and GIS mapping.

His collaborative research has focused on health disparities across many areas of health care, particularly in cancer screening and treatment and community health, and on involving students and fellows in research projects.

Dr. George's personal research has focused on statistical pedagogy, examining how online learning content can best be integrated and deployed in classrooms of varying formats.

He recently served as the 2022 Program Chair for the American Statistical Association’s Section on Teaching Statistics in the Health Sciences, assembling the section’s program at JSM 2022 in Washington, DC.
