This exhibition runs from September 12, 2025 through October 16, 2026. If These Walls Could Talk: An Invitation into the Home and Life of Anthony J. Drexel is an exhibition highlighting the family home of Anthony J. Drexel at his old 39th and Walnut property in the once Drexel Colony of West Philly. Using actual pieces found in his home, If These Walls Could Talk looks to transport its visitors into the heart of the 39th and Walnut residence, allowing them to envision what his home – and in tandem Anthony J. Drexel – was like.

This exhibition runs October 22, 2025 through October 16, 2026. The Drexel family has made their mark on society since Francis Martin Drexel first picked up a paint brush. This exhibition explores the contributions of the Drexel family from the 1820s to the 1930s, to honor the women and men who dare to build institutions and communities from the ground up.

This exhibition was curated by Gina Monahan, Museum Leadership '25.

The exhibition is free and open to the public by appointment, Monday - Friday, 10-4pm.

Drexel University Digital Development Camp, VirtuaQuest (7/8/2026)

The Drexel University Digital Development Camp, VirtuaQuest, is a specialized four-week in-person summer program led by the School of Computer and Information Sciences (SCIS). It provides participants with the chance to engage deeply with technology and digital development topics, guided by expert faculty and student leaders. Participants gain hands-on experience in areas such as virtual reality, artificial intelligence, programming, and game development while building technical skills and exploring future paths in computing. Four-week, in-person summer program from July 6 to 30, 2026
Cost: $950; lunch, snacks and educational supplies are included. Please note: housing is not provided/available for campers.
The camp is open to rising high school sophomores, juniors, seniors and accepted SCIS first-year students.

Hosted by Drexel University Libraries, Collections & Archives, with Toni Pitock, PhD, Department of History (College of Arts & Sciences), and Atwater Kent Collection at Drexel. With support from Campus250.

This special 2026 installment of the Drexel Libraries, Collections and Archives’ Library Exhibit Initiative features a student-curated display created in collaboration with Associate Teaching Professor Toni Pitock, PhD, Department of History, College of Arts & Sciences.

Students in Dr. Pitock’s History of Philadelphia courses toured the Atwater Kent Collection at Drexel’s storage facility and selected objects from the 1876 Centennial, 1926 Sesquicentennial, and 1976 Bicentennial, researching their history and relevance. Curated by Drexel students Kat McKeown and Sophia Stutte, the exhibit features excerpts from students’ assignments, related artifacts, and an interactive prompting visitor reflection.

A prolific collector of Philadelphia ephemera, Helen Beitler had a soft spot for all things baseball—and especially the Phillies.

Just in time for the MLB All-Star Game, this archival display from Drexel and the Atwater Kent Collection (former Philadelphia History Museum collection, which Drexel is stewarding) focuses on Philadelphia baseball over the past two centuries, from the dead-ball era to local baseball, to the Philadelphia Athletics and Phillies.

This exhibit is FREE to attend.

This exhibit is hosted by the Drexel University Libraries, with Kelly Underman, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Sociology (College of Arts & Sciences), and the Department of Photography (Westphal College of Media Arts & Design).

The latest exhibit on display in the W. W. Hagerty Library features original photographs by students enrolled in SOC 235 Sociology of Health (Fall 2025 and Winter 2026). For the assignment, Prof. Underman asked students to take photographs that illustrated key concepts from the course, such as health inequalities and the experience of illness.

Visualizing Health presents students’ reflections on health during a historical moment of overlapping societal crises. Students’ creative depictions of concepts from the social sciences illustrate the enduring importance of thinking critically about health, healthcare, and illness.

Inside this newly reopened historic building, the Drexel and the Atwater Kent Collection is exhibiting souvenirs and artifacts from the 1876 Bicentennial and 1926 Sesquicentennial (both world’s fairs) and 1976 Bicentennial celebrated in Philadelphia. The Atwater Kent Collection is the collection of the former Philadelphia History Museum, which Drexel is stewarding.

Alongside America’s National Anniversaries & Philadelphia on the World Stage is an exhibition from the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations, Office of Cultural Heritage and the Fund to Conserve U.S. Diplomatic Treasures Abroad: Marks of Friendship: 250 Years of U.S. Diplomatic Treasures, showcasing a selection of gifts representing America’s international relationships that help tell the 250-year story of America’s rise from humble beginnings as a small, experimental republic to the heights of world leadership.

This exhibit is free and open to the public.
