Choose to Move Wellness Incentive Challenge (25 Wellness Points)* (7/26/2021 - 9/5/2021)

Choose to Move is a fitness challenge that will help you rack up minutes of exercise in the hopes of out-moving the competition! You’ll learn tips and tricks on how to fit exercise into your daily routine—all while burning calories, getting fit, and having fun!

Track your daily time exercised to earn 25 Wellness Incentive points!

All participants who track their participation at least once a week will earn 25 wellness incentive points! Get paid to up your health and fitness game!

This challenge starts on August 9th. Registration opens on July 26th. The absolute last day to join this challenge is August 16th. This challenge will run for four weeks: August 9th- September 5th.

Employees who participate in our Wellness Incentive Program are eligible to enter this challenge as are their spouses and partners who are eligible for the Wellness Incentive Program.

To join this challenge, please visit https://members.healthadvocate.com/ and log in to your Wellness Incentive Program portal. Click on “Choose to move” from your To Do List (this will appear on July 26th) and click “Join.”

The University-wide trend is for faculty teaching online to become familiar with best practices associated with quality online course design. These best practices are associated with increasing student retention and faculty satisfaction with online education and have become increasingly important to accreditation bodies. This training is designed to help you master best practices in online course design. Dr. Jonathan Deutsch, Online Learning Council Faculty Fellow and certified Quality Matters Online Facilitator, will facilitate the two-week workshop. It is fully online and asynchronous, and open to any faculty members, graduate students and staff supporting online education. The maximum capacity is 20 people. Please note that this is an asynchronous course with specific deadlines over two weeks.

New Acquisitions: Highlights from The Drexel Collection (8/9/2021)

Exhibition from June 28, 2021, through October 22, 2021. All visitors without a Dragon card must check in for a visitor pass.

The Drexel Collection has been actively collecting since its founding in 1891. The earliest acquisitions were purchases at the Chicago Columbian Exposition in 1893 and donations made by Drexel family members and friends including Anthony J. Drexel, James MacAlister, James W. Paul, and George W. Childs. The collection grew through the 20th century with donations from Drexel family members, faculty, students, alumni, and friends of Drexel University.

This exhibition is a survey of what the Drexel Collection has collected throughout the last four years. With these donations we are able to continuously diversify the collection, as well as expand the collection’s parameters.

This exhibition was curated by Mary Elizabeth Kulesa ’22 as a part of her undergraduate Co-Op. Mary is a Photography and Art History double major and is excited to be working with new photographs added to the Drexel Collection. Special thanks is due to all of the donors who have helped expand the collection.

Women 100, a program of Vision 2020, is hosting "Seat at the Table," an exhibition that commemorates the 19th Amendment — establishing women’s right to vote — and asks 100 years later, “Where are we now?” Visitors will experience the current status of gender equality in the U.S. through 3D infographic furniture.

"Seat at the Table" is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and will reopen September 18, 2021. A virtual tour and the multimedia segment of the exhibition are still available. In addition, an educator's guide is available for download for teachers, youth leaders and parents.

When the Kimmel Center reopens, "Seat at the Table" will be presented in the lobby daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., through September 2021.
