Film Screening: 'The Hate U Give'

Event Description

The Law School will be screening The Hate U Give on Friday, January 18, in Room 240. The film, adapted from the novel by Angie Thomas, focuses on Starr Carter, a 16-year-old who witnesses her best friend’s fatal shooting by a police officer and subsequently struggles with her reaction and her identity. There will be a short introduction to the film at 12:45, followed by the screening from 1 to 3:15 p.m. An open discussion will follow. All members of the Law School community are invited to attend.
