Event Description Join the staff of the Drexel Food Lab to discuss the latest research on effects of a low FODMAP diet. FODMAP is not a diet to help you lose weight, but an approach to help you identify and manage food sensitivities and intolerances.
The full acronym FODMAP stands for Fermentable Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides and Polyols. While this might seem to be a mouthful, this talk will provide an overview of how you can better understand this popular "elimination" diet to help you target what foods are causing your gut to react.
During this talk we will discuss: What are FODMAPs and can they help reduce symptoms of dietary distress? Find out more information, tips for adherence and recipes to start your FODMAP journey.
Rachel Sherman, pastry chef and Drexel Food Lab project manager, will present this workshop.
