About the Speakers:
Kevin M. Baumlin, MD, FACEP, joined the Science Center in 2023 as the chief medical affairs officer. Baumlin brings to the Science Center over 30 years of professional experience as a clinician, leader and advocate for improving lives through compassion, science and technology. Baumlin is also a boarded clinical informaticist and was the Associate Chief Medical Information Officer at the Mount Sinai Health System. He led many IT projects including EHR implementations in several hospitals, RFID tracking and big data infrastructure selection. He is a Drexel alum and a graduate of Hahnemann Medical School.
Adam Glasofer, MD is the founder and principal of Vertex Health, where he works to help companies succeed in building, using and deploying healthcare technology. Glasofer has over 20 years of experience as a physician and healthcare IT executive, previously serving as the global head of healthcare startups at Amazon Web Services and the chief innovation officer and associate chief medical information officer at Virtua Health. Glasofer continues to leverage his clinical, operational and technical backgrounds, and has firsthand seen the benefits to integrating technology into healthcare delivery. He is board certified in both pediatrics and clinical informatics, and holds a Master of Science in Health Informatics from Drexel University.
