Migration, Ethnicity, Race and Health Group (MERHG) Colloquium

International Social Justice Collective: DesAgarrando Pueblo and Tales from the Contact Zones

Catalina Correa, MS, Urban Health Collaborative Doctoral Fellow, will lead a MERHG Colloquium. Drawing from critical social theories and the radical human geography concept of "contact zones", she will discuss the potential of fieldwork for social justice oriented public health praxis and knowledge building. Through ethnographic experiences, tales from "border-zones" and friendships, her talk will explore how human rights and public health can connect beyond academic spaces.
