Event Description This symposium, hosted by Critical Conversations in Urban Education, will highlight the research that has been conducted over the last two years by five Science Leadership Academy seniors. The youth scholars will present their research on critical issues targeted by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, offering solutions to international challenges such as sustainable consumption and production, childhood marriage, food deserts in urban communities, mental health access for undocumented students, and the intersection of urban communities and sea life. We will also celebrate the youth scholars’ return from the International Conference on Urban Education in San Juan, Puerto Rico where the students served as featured presenters, and shared their research with the global community.
