Event Description
BattleFest V will pit four bands in a round-robin clash on Thursday, November 17 in the URBN Annex’s Black Box Theater. Starting at 7pm, bands will alternate songs in rapid succession, a format based on the popular music showcase, “Later… with Jules Holland”. Participating bands include Lizdelise, an amazing indie pop artist who uses looped vocals to create serene sonic landscapes; Endless Taile, a Mad Dragon Records trio with a new album in the works that combines grunge with psychedelic, and up-and-coming Drexel student acts Tiger Oil and Drift. This show will also be the first concert in over two years co-promoted by Drexel's recently revamped concert student organization, Flux. Flux used to be a student-operated venue in the basement of the James E. Marks Intercultural Center but was uprooted when the building was demolished in 2014. Flux is back this year as a University recognized, mobile concert brand and music tech service, booking and promoting shows as well as providing sound for various campus events. |
