Event Description
We invite you to American Society of Cell Biology (ASCB) Early Career Meeting “Building Bridges Between Academia and Industry”, which will be held on November 20th from 3-7PM in partnership with graduate students and postdoctoral organizations from Drexel University, the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, and Jefferson University.
With <10% of PhD holders ending up in academic careers, this event will allow graduate students and postdoctoral researchers to understand the breadth of industry opportunities available to them, learn about transferable skills gained during graduate/medical school, and provide the opportunity to network with industry professionals and recruiters.
The meeting will provide:
1. A platform for information exchange and discussions about transferable skills gained during graduate/medical school
2. A venue for networking with industry professionals
3. An opportunity to recruit top graduate students and postdocs in the Philadelphia region
4. Increased awareness of careers outside of academia and exposure to the exciting work of sponsoring companies |
