Veterans Day Tribute: Celebrating Our Campus and Community Veterans

Event Description

Please join us for a light lunch at 11:30am followed by our annual Veterans Day Tribute at 12:00pm. This annual gathering has become a tradition at Drexel, coordinated by the Office of Veteran Student Services and Army ROTC.

Thomas Downey (LeBow, ’88), a longtime member of Comcast and a recent retiree from the US Army Reserve where he served as a Colonel, will be the featured speaker. He will share a message about the positive impact that veterans are making in the civilian workforce and the value of being a military friendly employer.

This tribute includes military traditions and protocol, patriotic music and reflections. Members of the Drexel Veterans Association will be present and displaying photographic story boards about their service and transition to life at Drexel.
