Event Description
The
event will analyze the issues of crime, public safety, policing and health in
urban communities. Three Drexel University professors will engage in a
thoughtful panel and discussion regarding the interplay of these issues and the
impact they have on society’s perception of urban communities and the realities
faced by individuals living in these environments. The purpose of this event
is to facilitate a conversation surrounding the derivatives of these issues
individually, and how they have grown and intertwine in to prevalent issues
today.
This panel discussion will feature:
- Professor Robert Kane, who heads the Department of Criminology and Justice Studies at Drexel's College of Arts & Sciences
- Professor Loni Tabb, an expert on epidemiology and biostatistics at Drexel's Dornsife School of Public Health
- Dr. Kristene Unsworth, whose research explores information policy, ethics and the use of technology in society
This event is co-sponsored by the Kline School of Law's DiveIn Committee and the Black Law Students Association. |
