Event Description
As cities seek to address climate change, low-carbon energy transitions, traffic congestion, and urban inequality, new systems for managing the movement of people and goods are crucial to “decarbonizing” transport and creating a more sustainable and equitable city. Artists Joelle Dietrick and Owen Mundy explore these themes through their exhibition The Speed of Thinking, at the Pearlstein Gallery, which includes digital imagery of fragmenting buildings, a game about freight shipping and sea level rising, and other explorations of digital media and urban space.

The Connected Mobilities Lab is also exploring these issues through field research in Philadelphia. We invite the Drexel community to attend this public symposium in which graduate students from the Connected Mobilities Lab will present their projects about innovations in our local mobility systems.
