Rediscovering Your Natural Resilience During a Busy 10-Week Term
Start Date: 4/18/2018Start Time: 2:00 PM
End Date: 4/18/2018End Time: 3:00 PM

Event Description

College can be a challenging place. Whether an employee or a student, navigating the ups and downs of work, classes or co-op is often difficult. At times, we can fall short of our intended goals. When things get tough, it’s important to know how to recover, move on, and learn from our experiences.

This session will provide students, faculty, and professional staff members the opportunity to learn about resilience on the college campus. We will explore how to stay centered through the ups and downs of university life, and we will discuss how falling short can often be a valuable learning experience.

Join us on April 18 as we explore the powerful potential of mindfulness to help us cultivate meaning, purpose and joy in our own lives and in our Drexel University community. Michael Carroll, author of Awake at Work, The Mindful Leader, and other influential books on bringing mindfulness to the workplace, will lead each session.

This event is part of a day-long series of events. You are welcome to attend one or multiple sessions, as your schedule allows. All events will be held in Behrakis Grand Hall, Creese Student Center, at 32nd and Chestnut streets, and will be simultaneously webcast. Please visit this website at the time of the event to view the live webcast: http://drexel.edu/hr/career/engaging-u/mindfulness/

Faculty and staff are asked to register through Career Pathway to attend either in person or by webcast. Students do not need to RSVP in order to attend.

This session is being offered twice, from 2-3 p.m. and 4-5 p.m. (same session, two time slots).
