Serving the Community or Crossing the Professional Line: Figuring Out Public Librarianship

Chera Kowalski, who works with the Free Library of Philadelphia, will give a talk on public library service. Chera received national attention last year for helping save victims who had overdosed on heroin in the McPherson Branch of the Free Library. Reflecting on this and other experiences in public librarianship, Chera will talk about the intersections between public libraries, public health, and social work.
