Event Description

This workshop on taxes in Philadelphia for tech businesses will be led by Kline School of Law students in the Entrepreneurial Law Clinic.

Learn when to start reporting and paying taxes in Philadelphia, and about some of the programs in place to help defer or refund taxes for high growth startups in the city.

The workshop will cover: Business Income and Receipts Tax, Net Profits Tax, Earnings/Wage Tax, JumpStart Philadelphia, Job Creation Tax Credit and KIZ Tax Zones.

  • Rebecca Lopez Kriss, the senior policy analyst in Philadelphia's Department of Revenue
  • Francisco Garcia, director of Business Development for Innovation & Technology in Philadelphia's Department of Commerce
