Event Description The Online Learning Council will offer the introductory Quality Matters (QM) workshop — Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) — beginning Monday, April 17 and ending on May 1. The university-wide trend is for faculty to become familiar with best practices associated with quality online course design. Research shows that these practices are associated with increasing both student retention and faculty/student satisfaction with online education. This training is designed to help you master best practices in online course design.
Linda Marion, PhD, and Karen Holt, PhD, Online Learning Council Faculty Fellows and certified QM Online Facilitators, will conduct the two-week workshop session. The workshop, open to any faculty members, PhD students, and staff supporting online education, is fully online and asynchronous. For successful completion, you can expect that the course will take about 10-12 hours/week. The maximum capacity of each workshop is 20 people. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. For more information and the registration page see: https://drexel.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV
