Reimagining Haddy with Christian Rodriguez

Visit our Drawn to Dinosaurs exhibit and watch Philadelphia’s own Christian Rodriguez bring Hadrosaurus foulkii back to life with a swirl of color and fun. Christian is a famed graffiti artist whose delightful work has been displayed in the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Draw on our Dioramas!

Ever thought our dioramas could use a little something extra? Adults and children alike will love discovering their creative side by adding their very own artwork to our famous dioramas.

Meet the Animals
5:30 & 7 p.m.

Meet the furry, feathered and scaly residents of the museum, and explore their behaviors, adaptations and ecosystems. The museum's Live Animal Center supports over 100 individual animal ambassadors and several colonies of invertebrates.

Natural History of the Pine Barrens

The New Jersey Pine Barrens is a globally rare ecosystem characterized by acidic waters, nutrient-poor soils, and frequent wildfires. Discuss these key features and examine real Pine Barrens specimens with students from Drexel's Department of Biodiversity, Earth, and Environmental Sciences.

About the Academy’s Indoor Beer Garden: Dino Drafts

12th St. Catering and the Academy of Natural Sciences are offering Dino Drafts: The Academy Beer Garden inside the museum’s famous Dinosaur Hall. Come warm up inside, play board games, purchase beer or sample some mouthwatering bites (think tacos!) at the foot of a 40-foot-long T. rex and its prehistoric friends. The entire museum will be open with pay-what-you-wish admission (suggested donation is $10). Families are welcome—and if you like, you can stop by for a drink and carry it with you as your group enjoys the museum. Partial proceeds from Dino Drafts: The Academy Beer Garden benefit the Academy of Natural Sciences.
