Event Description Goodwin College's School of Education presents Critical Conversations in Urban Education: "STEM Education in Urban Settings: Understanding Realities and Imagining Possibilities." This panel discussion will address opportunities and hurdles related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) curricula in urban schools. Panelists will provide an overview of Pennsylvania state data, aspects of Philadelphia School District initiatives, and perspectives on how higher education partnerships can enhance STEM education for K-12 students.
Featured panelists: Dr. Vivian Lee, director of counselor advocacy at the National Office for School Counselor Advocacy (NOSCA) at the College Board Dr. Liza Herzog, director of research at the Philadelphia Education Fund
