Event Description
Temple University Institute for Regenerative Medicine and Engineering

SAVE THE DATE: Symposium on Regenerative Medicine and Engineering

Regenerative Medicine and Engineering is an exciting interdisciplinary field with the potential of revolutionizing current and future medical practice. The vision is to stimulate and leverage the body's own repair mechanisms to functionally restore injured or diseased tissues and organs through cell-based therapies, smart biomaterials, or by implanting functional replacement tissues and organs engineered outside the body.

This symposium aims to bring together researchers and scholars from a variety of disciplines within the entire university, as diverse as engineering, biology, medicine and business.

During the symposium, ongoing research and future trends in regenerative medicine and engineering will be discussed by several prominent guest speakers, interspersed with presentations from Temple faculty describing their ongoing research in diverse areas of regenerative medicine and engineering, such as cardiac, pulmonary, neural, musculoskeletal and dental medicine.

Opportunity for participating faculty, postdocs and students to present and discuss posters and forge collaborations with Temple colleagues and expert guests.

This symposium should be of interest to basic and translational researchers and clinician/scientists working in diverse areas.
