Featured Speaker: Dr. Minghua Li, Professor, School of Public Administration, East China Normal University (ECNU)
About the speaker:
Dr. Minghua Li is a professor at the School of Public Administration, East China Normal University (ECNU) in Shanghai. He earned both an M.A. in economics and Ph.D. in economics of education from Stanford University. He worked in the U.S. as a consultant and market research professional until he joined ECNU in 2003. His current research interests are related to Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). His recent research includes education of migrant workers; community colleges, higher education reform and best practices; emerging educational markets; learning organizations with blended learning solutions and facilitation; and economics of education and finance.
From 2005-08, Dr. Li was the Principle Investigator on the migrant worker's continuing education accessibility problems project sponsored by the Ford Foundation, the Ministry of Education of China, and the Municipal Government of Shanghai, and hosted at East China Normal University. From 2010-13, he was the Principal Investigator in a project entitled "Social Choices and Their Efficiencies of Higher Education Accreditation Institutions Among Nations," sponsored by China's National Natural Science Foundation. |
