End Date: 5/2/2012End Time: 2:30 PM

Event Description
Join the International Area Studies program as they host ‘Intervening to Save Syria: The Historical Context’ as part of their ongoing International Café series. Guest speaker Dr. Ian Lustick, Professor of Political Science at University of Pennsylvania, will discuss the dismal historical record of great power, or Western, military interventions in the Middle East. Though the Libyan episode so far looks like a rare success, he will pose this important question: What about Syria?

Date: Wednesday, May 2nd
Time: 1:30pm (Free lunch from Hummus restaurant for attendees)
