Event Description
What kind of potential does stem cell research hold for the scientific community? When is it acceptable—if ever—to use stem cells? When do cells go from being cells to being individuals? Who has the right to determine when life begins? Come discuss these pressing questions and more! The event will be facilitated by Dr. Connie Perry and Dr. Vicki Lachman.

The Cross Country Conversation series is a quarterly panel discussion for students to come together and discuss various controversial issues that are pertinent all around the world. This quarter's event is on Internet Privacy. There will be a panel of pre-selected students who will present their viewpoints on the topic. Following that, the floor will be open to everyone to voice their opinions, concerns, and outlooks on the impact that internet privacy (or a lack thereof) has on society. This is a great opportunity to gain a multi-cultural and multi-national viewpoint on the topic of socio-economic class by hearing the views of the various international students, faculty, and staff who will be in attendance.
