Premed Power Half Hour Workshop – Strategically choosing where to apply to medical school

Event Description

First half hour - there will be a presentation on resources to use in exploring medical schools and important factors to consider in choosing where to apply. It is important to research individual medical school’s selection criteria such as ranges of accepted GPAs and MCAT scores, in-state versus out of state residents, mission statement and program emphasis, etc. before applying. Try to take a well-informed and strategic approach to generating a schools list instead of applying randomly to “lots of schools.”

Second half hour – Optional open question and answer session about the 2020 application process.
