Event Description Join International Area Studies and the Drexel Arabic Language Association as they present ”The CIA’s Hunt for bin laden – Triple Agent: Disaster, Deceit and Redemption” with guest speaker Joby Warrick.
Pulitzer-prize winning Washington Post reporter and author Joby Warrick will explore the unlikely story of the al-Qaeda mole who infiltrated the CIA and lured nine intelligence operatives to their deaths in Khost, Afghanistan. The 2009 event, the deadliest day for American intelligence in a quarter-century, preceded the CIA's ultimate victory at Abbottabad and offers an unusually vivid look inside the secret war against the terrorist group inside Pakistan.
This FREE event is co-sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences, the International Area Studies program, and the Drexel Arabic Language Association (DALA.) All are welcome.
