Target Audience
All faculty are invited with attendance strongly encouraged for early- and mid-career scientists, clinicians, medical educators and faculty from our regional partners.
Purpose
This day will focus on faculty wellness, individual career planning, and bring the community of faculty together to highlight the innovative research, education and healthcare initiatives across the College of Medicine.

Agenda
8 a.m.
Lecture on faculty wellness and resilience:
- Presented by Dr. Dena Hofkosh, associate dean for faculty affairs, University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine
- Topics will cover wellness index self-assessment, discussion of institution specific challenges and solutions for the COM
9:45 a.m.
Individual career planning:
- Individual development planning activities for researchers, educators and clinicians; review new A&P criteria for clinical tracks; individual feedback on faculty CVs by senior faculty facilitators
- Small-group work in career development
- Basic and translational scientists
- Medical educators
- Healthcare leadership/quality improvement
- Community educators from regional partner affiliate sites
11:30 a.m.
Celebrating faculty scholarship:
Faculty “SNIP-ITS”
- Ten 5-minute “TED Talk”–style presentations
- Showcase faculty innovations in research, medical education, assessment, clinical care and delivery, health equities, and community-based hospital education
12:30 p.m.
Lunch and poster session. All faculty are invited to present scholarly work in progress including but not limited to:
- Faculty poster presentations that highlight innovations in research, medical education, assessment, clinical care and delivery, quality improvement, and health disparity research
- Professional Enrichment Growth (PEG) grant awardees
- Mary DeWitt Pettit fellows
- Health equities scholars

Established faculty awards (acknowledge all nominees prior to award) will be presented at 1:30 p.m.:
