Urban Health Summer Institute - What's in a Tweet? Social Media Analytics in Public Health

Event Description
In this applied course, students will collect “real time” social media data to answer their own research question. Students will apply descriptive statistics to analyze quantitative data, develop a codebook to examine qualitative data, and integrate the two approaches to complete a multi-method data analysis. Coursework will focus on organizing and interpreting data, and preparing and presenting data for diverse audiences.
 
Instructor: Philip Massey, PhD, MPH, assistant professor at Drexel Dornsife School of Public Health.
