Drexel University's School of Education invites you to join us for a free webinar titled "Dyslexia and Today's Students: What you Need to Know to be able to Teach."
In this webinar, Drexel University faculty and staff will discuss the following topics:
  • Dyslexia, what it is and how many students it affects
  • Issues facing students with Dyslexia in school
  • What you can do as a teacher to support students with Dyslexia
You will also have the chance to learn more about Drexel's Multisensory Reading Instruction (Wilson® Language Level 1 certification) program and the integral concentration in Drexel MS in Special Education program.
Lori Severino, PhD 
Assistant Professor, Drexel University
Dr. Severino is a faculty member in the special education program. She teaches courses in reading, high incidence disabilities, and student teaching. Her area of expertise is in reading disabilities.
Janet Sloand, PhD
Associate Clinical Professor, Drexel University
Dr. Janet Sloand has worked in the field of special education for the past 36 years.  She is a well-known state and national presenter in the areas of Assistive Technology, Autism, Early Reading Instruction, Special Education Leadership, Students with Complex Instructional Needs and Systems Change.
