The 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution — women's right to vote — became law on August 26, 1920, a date now recognized as Women's Equality Day.
Each year on this date, Vision 2020's Toast to Tenacity honors the suffragists who fought for this right, and urges women to shape the future by exercising their right to vote.
On Women's Equality Day, join Vision 2020 and Drexel's Institute for Women's Health and Leadership in raising a glass of grape juice, just as suffragist Alice Paul did 99 years ago, to celebrate the anniversary of women's right to vote.
Thanks to our event sponsor, Fox Rothschild LLP, this event is free and open to the public, and lunch will be provided. |
